Association Visits Shantou for Joint Party Activities and Industry Exchanges
Between 22 October 2026 and 23 October 2026, the Shenzhen Science and Technology Association for Low-altitude Economy organised a two-day visit to Shantou for member organisations and partners. The programme combined joint Party activities and education on revolutionary history with industry visits. It explored local capabilities and cooperation needs in industrial parks, offshore wind and new energy, cross-border digital services, smart healthcare and the low-altitude economy.
Joint Party Activities and Local History
The delegation visited the Chaoshan History and Culture Expo Centre in Shantou for joint Party activities and education on revolutionary history. Participants learnt about the city’s development as a trading port and its revolutionary heritage, and discussed Shenzhen–Shantou cooperation and industry collaboration.
Industrial Parks and New Energy Supply Chains
At Zhonghaixin (Shantou) Innovation Industrial City, the delegation explored park planning, industrial facilities and business services. Discussions examined how Shenzhen–Haojiang cooperation links headquarters with production bases and sales channels with supply, as well as the park’s experience in accommodating industries and coordinating services.
At the Jingneng offshore wind complex, the delegation learnt how offshore wind and new energy supply chains are coordinated with port facilities and testing platforms. Exchanges also covered logistics arrangements for moving large components efficiently.
Cross-Border Digital Services and Integrated Low-Altitude Applications
At sites and companies associated with Shantou’s cross-border digital economy industrial park, the delegation explored how cross-border data compliance, international communications links, computing capacity and service delivery fit together. Visits to an AI exhibition space and related companies covered the commercialisation, platform-based provision and metering of AI computing services, including approaches to digital services trade with Southeast Asia and other markets.
Visits to smart healthcare and low-altitude economy exhibition platforms and companies covered drone products, industry applications and platform capabilities for device integration, detection, identification and operational coordination. Participants discussed integrated services spanning equipment, platforms, operations and governance, alongside industry cooperation, business attraction and the development of application scenarios.
Continuing Shenzhen–Shantou Exchanges
The visit gave the Association and participating organisations a fuller understanding of Shantou’s industrial facilities, key supply chains and cross-border digital services. The Association plans to maintain exchanges with members and partners, drawing on their technology resources and professional services to explore practical approaches to regional and industry cooperation.
